Which Just Dance game introduced the 'Just Dance Unlimited' subscription service?
Answer
Just Dance 2016
Answer
Just Dance 2016
Just Dance 2016 introduced the Just Dance Unlimited subscription service.
Released in October 2015, Just Dance 2016 was the seventh main game in Ubisoft’s rhythm-dance series. Its major online addition was Just Dance Unlimited, which gave subscribers streaming access to a large catalogue of songs from earlier Just Dance games, plus tracks created exclusively for the service.
The game also promoted smartphone-based motion tracking, allowing a phone to act as a controller on supported platforms. That feature is easy to confuse with Just Dance Now, Ubisoft’s separate mobile-focused service. Just Dance Unlimited was instead designed as an extra library connected to a purchased Just Dance game.
The subscription continued in later entries, including Just Dance 2017 and Just Dance 2018. Online services for the game were eventually discontinued across platforms, but its introduction marked a shift from buying individual downloadable songs toward an all-you-can-access music catalogue.
