Ganbarion made the 2011 action role-playing game Pandora’s Tower. The Japanese studio developed the game for the Wii, while Nintendo published it in Japan and later released it in other regions.
The game follows Aeron, a young soldier who seeks to cure Elena’s transformation by collecting flesh from monsters in a series of towers. Its relationship system and time-based structure add pressure to the player’s exploration and combat.
Pandora’s Tower is unrelated to Microsoft’s 1999 puzzle game Pandora’s Box and to the ancient Greek myth. Its title uses “Pandora” as a thematic reference, but the game has its own characters, setting, and narrative.
The title received a European release in 2012 and a North American release in 2013. It became one of the notable late Wii role-playing games outside Japan.
