Which Japanese developer created the 2011 Wii action-adventure game Pandora’s Tower?

The story behind the answer

Ganbarion created the 2011 Wii action-adventure game Pandora’s Tower.

Pandora’s Tower is a Japanese action role-playing game released for the Wii. It follows Aeron, who seeks to cure Elena’s curse by bringing her the flesh of monsters from thirteen towers. The game’s title draws on Pandora imagery, but its plot is not a direct retelling of the ancient Greek myth.

Ganbarion developed the game, while Nintendo published it in Japan and Xseed Games published the North American release. The European release was handled by Nintendo. Its combat, dungeon exploration, and relationship system distinguish it from puzzle games that use the Pandora’s Box title.

Because several Japanese studios worked on prominent Wii role-playing games, Ganbarion is easy to confuse with Monolith Soft or Level-5. Those companies were involved in other well-known titles, but Ganbarion is the developer credited for Pandora’s Tower.
