The insurer whose iconic advertising slogan is “You’re in good hands” is Allstate.
Allstate introduced the slogan in 1950, helping create one of the most recognizable phrases in American insurance advertising. The wording presents the company as a dependable protector when customers face accidents, property damage, or other insured risks.
Allstate began in 1931 as part of Sears, Roebuck and Co. and later became an independent public company. Its name came from the Allstate tire brand sold by Sears. The insurer’s advertising has also used the distinctive blue-and-white Allstate logo and a pair of cupped hands to reinforce the slogan’s message.
The phrase is sometimes confused with other insurers’ memorable advertising. State Farm is associated with “Like a good neighbor, State Farm is there,” while Prudential used the Rock of Gibraltar imagery. These are separate slogans and brand symbols, not alternate names for Allstate.
