Which Hogwarts-related stage play did J.K. Rowling co-create with Jack Thorne and John Tiffany?

The story behind the answer

J.K. Rowling co-created the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child with playwright Jack Thorne and director John Tiffany. The production is set nineteen years after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

The story follows adult Harry, now a Ministry of Magic employee, and his son Albus Severus Potter as they struggle with family expectations. Draco Malfoy’s son, Scorpius, is also central to the plot. Thorne wrote the published script from the story developed by the creative team.

The play premiered in London’s West End in 2016 at the Palace Theatre, now renamed the Palace Theatre London. It won multiple Olivier Awards, including Best New Play, and its two-part original staging was later condensed for some productions.
