Which Hogwarts house does Harry Potter belong to?

Harry Potter belongs to Gryffindor, one of the four houses at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The Sorting Hat places Harry in Gryffindor during his first year at the school. The house was founded by Godric Gryffindor and is associated especially with courage, nerve, and chivalry. Harry’s closest friends, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, are also sorted into Gryffindor.
