Which hero's real name is 'Akande Ogundimu'?
Answer
Doomfist
Answer
Doomfist
The Overwatch hero whose real name is Akande Ogundimu is Doomfist.
Akande Ogundimu is the third person to bear the Doomfist title in Overwatch’s fictional history. He was born in Nigeria and inherited a prosthetics company, but he also trained extensively as a martial artist. During the Omnic Crisis, he lost his right arm and received an advanced prosthetic replacement. The previous Doomfist recognized his potential and trained him as a successor.
Ogundimu eventually killed his mentor, claimed the powerful Doomfist gauntlet, and adopted the identity himself. Unlike a simple superhero alias, “Doomfist” is therefore a mantle passed between people. Earlier bearers were known by titles translated as “The Savior” and “The Scourge”; Akande is known as “The Successor.”
He later became a leading member of Talon, an organization that opposes Overwatch. Doomfist believes that conflict makes humanity stronger, placing him among the franchise’s major villains. He first became playable in July 2017 as Overwatch’s 25th hero, originally in the damage role; Overwatch 2 later reclassified him as a tank.
