Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley are members of Gryffindor house. At Hogwarts, the Sorting Hat places students into one of four houses based on qualities, potential, and sometimes the student’s own preference.
Gryffindor is traditionally associated with courage, bravery, nerve, and chivalry. Harry, Hermione, and Ron become central members of the house’s student community and represent its role in the resistance to Lord Voldemort.
The trio’s house is sometimes confused with their individual traits: Hermione is exceptionally scholarly, and Ravenclaw values learning. Nevertheless, the Sorting Hat places her in Gryffindor, where she joins Harry and Ron throughout the seven novels.
