Which Greek mythological figure is described as Pandora’s daughter in later tradition?

The story behind the answer

Pyrrha is described as Pandora’s daughter in later Greek mythological tradition. She is usually identified as the daughter of Epimetheus and Pandora and as the wife of Deucalion.

In the flood myth, Zeus sends a catastrophic flood that destroys much of humanity. Deucalion and Pyrrha survive by taking refuge in a chest or boat, depending on the version. After the flood, they restore the human race by casting stones behind them; Deucalion’s stones become men and Pyrrha’s become women.

The genealogy links the Pandora story to the next generation of humanity. It should not be confused with the separate question of Pandora’s parents, which varies across sources and is not presented with the same consistency. Pyrrha’s role is especially important because she and Deucalion become ancestors of the renewed human population.
