Which god of fertility was often depicted with an erect phallus and a flail?

The story behind the answer

Which god of fertility was often depicted with an erect phallus and a flail? Min was often depicted that way. The image expressed male sexual potency, agricultural fertility, and the power to generate life rather than serving merely as a humorous artistic detail.

Min’s worship began in the predynastic period, during the fourth millennium BCE. His major cult centres were Coptos (modern Qift) and Akhmim, and he was associated with symbols including the white bull, lettuce, and the fossilized belemnite. Egyptian lettuce was linked with Min because of its tall shape and milky sap, which Egyptians regarded as suggestive of sexual potency.

Min’s erect penis was normally held in his left hand, while his raised right arm held an object interpreted as a flail or a stylized emblem of authority. He was especially prominent in harvest celebrations, including the Festival of Min, when his image was carried into the fields to bless crops. Pharaohs also invoked him in coronation and fertility rituals.

A common mix-up is Osiris, who also had fertility associations. Osiris, however, was primarily the god of the underworld and resurrection; Min is the more direct answer to this distinctive ithyphallic depiction.
