Which game is the first installment in Blizzard's StarCraft II trilogy?

The story behind the answer

StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty is the first installment in Blizzard's StarCraft II trilogy.

Wings of Liberty was released in 2010 and centers on Jim Raynor and his rebellion against the Terran Dominion. Its campaign focuses on the Terran faction and takes place four years after the events of StarCraft: Brood War. Players can choose campaign upgrades and complete missions in different orders, giving the single-player structure more flexibility than the original game.

The trilogy continues with Heart of the Swarm, which focuses on the Zerg and Sarah Kerrigan, and concludes with Legacy of the Void, which focuses on the Protoss. Nova Covert Ops is a separate mission pack rather than one of the three main trilogy installments.
