Which game engine did FIFA 14 introduce on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One?
Answer
Ignite Engine
Answer
Ignite Engine
FIFA 14 introduced the Ignite Engine on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
FIFA 14 was released in 2013, but its new-generation version used technology that differed from the versions made for older consoles and computers. On PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, EA Sports used the Ignite Engine to support improved animation, visual detail, artificial intelligence and stadium presentation.
The engine was designed for several EA Sports franchises during that console generation, including Madden NFL and NBA Live. It helped the football series take advantage of more powerful hardware while preserving the core FIFA gameplay structure.
FIFA 14 is also associated with the introduction of the Pure Shot system and improved teammate intelligence. It is not the first FIFA game to use the Impact Engine: that collision technology debuted in FIFA 12. Frostbite arrived in the FIFA series later, beginning with FIFA 17.
