Which French automaker produces the Peugeot 208?
Answer
Peugeot
Answer
Peugeot
“Which French automaker produces the Peugeot 208?” — “Peugeot.” The 208 is a supermini, or B-segment car, produced and marketed by the French automaker Peugeot.
Peugeot unveiled the 208 at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2012. It replaced the Peugeot 207 and was positioned below the larger 308 in the company’s lineup. The first generation was offered as three-door and five-door hatchbacks, with petrol and diesel engines; an electric version, the e-208, later expanded the model’s role in the city-car market.
The second generation arrived in 2019 and shares its underlying platform with several other Stellantis vehicles. That corporate connection can cause confusion: Peugeot became part of Stellantis in 2021, following the merger of PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles. Stellantis owns the corporate group, but Peugeot remains the brand associated with producing the 208.
