Which former Patriots tight end caught two Brady touchdowns in Super Bowl LV?

Rob Gronkowski caught two of Tom Brady's touchdown passes in Super Bowl LV.

The former Patriots tight end scored twice during the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 31–9 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on February 7, 2021. His touchdowns came on receptions of 8 and 17 yards, helping Tampa Bay build a commanding halftime lead.

Gronkowski had come out of retirement in 2020 and joined the Buccaneers after the Patriots traded his rights to Tampa Bay. The reunion with Brady revived one of the NFL's most productive quarterback–tight end partnerships, originally developed during their years in New England.

Gronkowski finished Super Bowl LV with six catches for 67 yards and two touchdowns. The game also gave him a distinctive Super Bowl record: he became the first player to catch a pass in five different Super Bowls. Cameron Brate caught Tampa Bay's other touchdown pass, which is why he is sometimes mistaken for one of Brady's two touchdown receivers.
