Which Final Fantasy game features the world of Spira?

The story behind the answer

Final Fantasy X features the world of Spira. The game follows Tidus, a blitzball star from Zanarkand, after he is transported to Spira and becomes involved in Yuna’s pilgrimage against the destructive force known as Sin.

Spira was designed as a major departure from the predominantly medieval-European settings of several earlier Final Fantasy games. Its environments and cultures draw influence from the South Pacific, Thailand, Bali, and Japan. The world is shaped by the teachings of Yevon, the Al Bhed’s opposition to that religious order, and the recurring cycle of Sin’s destruction.

Spira is not exclusive to one title: it also appears in Final Fantasy X-2, which explores the world two years after the events of Final Fantasy X. That sequel was the franchise’s first direct sequel to a numbered main-series game. The most likely confusion is with Final Fantasy XII, which takes place in Ivalice, or Final Fantasy IX, whose world is Gaia.
