Which Final Fantasy game features the characters Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis, and Prompto?

Final Fantasy XV follows Noctis Lucis Caelum, crown prince of the kingdom of Lucis, as he travels across the world of Eos. Gladiolus Amicitia serves as the royal family’s shield, Ignis Scientia is Noctis’s strategist and personal attendant, and Prompto Argentum is his close friend. Their road trip begins with a practical journey but becomes tied to war, prophecy, and the fate of the world.

The four characters are designed as a tightly connected group rather than interchangeable party members. Noctis is directly controlled during ordinary play, while the other three fight alongside him through artificial intelligence and command abilities. Each companion also has a signature specialty: Gladiolus emphasizes heavy attacks, Ignis uses tactics and elemental tools, and Prompto fights with firearms.

Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIV belong to different stories and casts. The game was originally announced as Final Fantasy Versus XIII before being reworked and released as Final Fantasy XV in 2016.
