FIFA 23 was the final title released under the FIFA name before the series continued as EA Sports FC.
Electronic Arts and FIFA ended their long-running naming agreement after FIFA 23. EA’s next annual football game was EA Sports FC 24, which launched under a new brand while continuing many familiar gameplay and licensing traditions.
FIFA 23 was released in 2022 and included men’s and women’s World Cup content added through updates, along with cross-play features on supported platforms. Those additions belong to FIFA 23’s content and do not change its position as the final FIFA-branded entry.
The transition is why FIFA 23 is often described as the end of the EA Sports FIFA era.
