Amber, played by Anne Dudek, is one of the applicants competing for a place on House’s new diagnostic team. Her aggressive ambition earns her the nickname “Cutthroat Bitch,” but the character also develops a relationship with James Wilson.

In the two-part finale, Amber is seriously injured in a bus accident while accompanying an intoxicated House. She has taken amantadine, which cannot be removed from her system because of her kidney failure. The resulting poisoning leads to her death.
