Twitter’s feature for attaching voting questions to posts is Polls.
Twitter began rolling out polls in 2015, allowing users to pose a question directly in a tweet and let followers choose among displayed options. The feature turned an ordinary post into a simple, built-in vote rather than requiring an external survey link.
Early Twitter polls offered two choices, with each option limited to 20 characters. The system later expanded to as many as four choices and increased the limit to 25 characters per option. Polls could remain open for up to seven days, and individual votes were not publicly identified.
Polls are easy to confuse with Lists, which organize accounts, or Spaces, which are live audio discussions. Moments was a separate editorial format for collecting notable tweets and stories, not a voting tool.
