Which elder sister did Marie Curie follow to Paris?

The story behind the answer

Marie Curie followed her elder sister Bronisława to Paris.

Bronisława, often called Bronia, was Marie’s older sister and later became a physician. The sisters made a practical agreement: Marie would work as a governess and help finance Bronia’s medical education, and Bronia would later help Marie study in Paris.

After Bronia completed her studies and married Polish physician Kazimierz Dłuski, she invited Marie to join her in Paris. Marie arrived in 1891 and enrolled at the Sorbonne, where she studied physics and mathematics. The arrangement was crucial because advanced university education was difficult for women to obtain in Poland at the time.

The other names in the choices belong to different parts of Curie’s family story. Ève was Marie’s younger daughter, while Helena and Zofia were her sisters but not the sister who preceded her to Paris. Bronia’s support helped make Marie’s later scientific career possible.
