The Dior men’s fragrance launched in 2005 under the name Dior Homme was Dior Homme.
Dior Homme became a major modern fragrance line for the house. Its original composition was created by perfumer Olivier Polge and helped establish a distinctive Dior identity for men’s fragrance in the 2000s. The line later expanded through versions such as Dior Homme Intense, Dior Homme Sport, and other flankers.
The name can be confusing because Dior Homme is also associated with the fashion label’s menswear division. In fragrance questions, the answer refers to the perfume line introduced in 2005. It should not be confused with Eau Sauvage, an earlier Dior men’s fragrance launched in 1966.
Christian Dior himself was no longer alive when Dior Homme appeared. The fragrance belongs to the continuing development of the Dior brand after the founder’s death.
