Kim Jones was appointed Dior’s men’s artistic director in 2018 after Kris Van Assche.
Jones, a British designer known for combining tailoring with streetwear and contemporary culture, joined Dior Homme in March 2018. His appointment followed Van Assche’s departure after more than a decade leading the men’s collections.
At Dior, Jones developed a modern menswear language that connected the house’s couture heritage with collaborations, artists and sportswear influences. His first Dior men’s collection was presented in Paris in June 2018 and included a major collaboration with the American artist KAWS.
Kim Jones is not the same designer as Raf Simons, who led Dior’s women’s collections from 2012 to 2015. Hedi Slimane was associated with Dior Homme earlier, from 2000 to 2007.
