Which denomination receives five special designs in the America250 coin program?

The quarter dollar receives five special designs in the America250 coin program.

The United States Mint’s 2026 semiquincentennial program uses five quarter reverses to tell parts of the American story. The themes include the Mayflower Compact, the Revolutionary War, the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Gettysburg Address.

A quarter dollar is commonly called a quarter because it is worth one-fourth of a dollar, or 25 cents. The special program changes the designs for the anniversary year while retaining the denomination’s familiar value and general role in circulation.

Other denominations also receive semiquincentennial treatment, including the dime, half dollar, and dollar coin. The distinctive feature of the quarter program is its set of five different historical designs, not merely a single anniversary reverse.
