Which denomination of United States Bicentennial coin featured Independence Hall on its reverse?

The story behind the answer

The United States Bicentennial half dollar featured Independence Hall on its reverse.

The temporary Bicentennial coin designs were used on the quarter, half dollar, and dollar. The quarter showed a colonial drummer, the half dollar depicted Independence Hall, and the dollar showed the Liberty Bell superimposed against the Moon.

The coins carried the double date 1776–1976 on their obverses. They were struck in both 1975 and 1976, although none carried a 1975 date. The special reverses returned to the regular designs in 1977.

Seth Huntington designed the Independence Hall reverse for the half dollar. Because Independence Hall was the building where the Declaration of Independence was adopted, the design connected the coin directly to the event being commemorated without repeating the coin’s date as its main image.
