Frye is the Deep Cut member named alongside Shiver and Big Man.
Deep Cut is the three-member idol group introduced in Splatoon 3. Shiver, Frye, and Big Man serve as news presenters in Splatsville and perform music together, making them recurring characters rather than one-off story figures. In Splatoon Raiders, the trio also appears in the game's island adventure.
A common mix-up is confusing Deep Cut with earlier Splatoon idol duos. Callie and Marie are the Squid Sisters, while Pearl and Marina form Off the Hook. Frye is recognizable as Deep Cut's energetic dancer and eel enthusiast; Shiver is associated with sharks, and Big Man is the manta ray who often speaks through “Ay!”
The group’s name is also easy to misread as referring to a single character. It is the collective name for all three members, so a question asking for the member alongside Shiver and Big Man points specifically to Frye.
