Which currency has been the official money of Hungary since 1946?

Hungary’s official currency since 1946 has been the Hungarian forint.

The forint was introduced on 1 August 1946 after Hungary experienced severe hyperinflation. It replaced the pengő, whose value had collapsed during the final stages of the Second World War. The new currency helped restore confidence in Hungary’s monetary system and remains in use today.
