Which country hosts the MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix?

The story behind the answer

Qatar hosts the MotoGP Qatar Grand Prix. The race is held at Lusail International Circuit, located near Lusail, north of Doha, and the venue is one of the championship’s most recognizable night-race locations.

The circuit hosted its first motorcycle Grand Prix in 2004. In 2008, Qatar became the first venue to stage a floodlit Grand Prix race in MotoGP history, turning the event into a distinctive evening spectacle. Artificial lighting also helps reduce the impact of Qatar’s daytime heat on riders, teams and spectators.

The circuit was formerly known as Losail International Circuit and was renamed Lusail International Circuit. The name change does not mean the race moved to another country: Losail/Lusail is the same Qatari venue. Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are nearby Gulf countries, but none is the host nation for this Grand Prix.
