Which constellation is the ram of the zodiac?
Answer
Aries
Answer
Aries
Which constellation is the ram of the zodiac? Aries is the zodiac constellation represented by a ram.
Aries is a constellation in the Northern Hemisphere between Pisces and Taurus. Its name is Latin for “ram,” and its traditional astrological symbol is ♈. It is one of the 12 zodiac constellations through which the Sun appears to move during the year.
The ram symbolism is ancient. The stars of Aries represented a ram by the late Babylonian period, although earlier traditions associated the same region of the sky with a farmhand. Greek mythology later connected the ram with the golden-fleeced creature whose fleece became the prize sought by Jason and the Argonauts.
Aries is not especially bright. Its best-known stars are Hamal, Sheratan, Mesarthim and 41 Arietis, with Hamal as the brightest. Another common mix-up is Taurus, the neighbouring bull constellation; Pisces, meanwhile, represents two fish and lies west of Aries.
