Which console hosted Pokémon Stadium?
Answer
Nintendo 64
Answer
Nintendo 64
Pokémon Stadium was released for the Nintendo 64.
The 1999 strategy game brought Pokémon battles into a 3D arena on Nintendo’s home console. It used the original 151 Pokémon from Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow and included tournament cups, the Gym Leader Castle, multiplayer battles, and mini-games.
A Transfer Pak bundled with the game allowed players to connect compatible Game Boy cartridges. This made it possible to use Pokémon trained in Red, Blue, or Yellow in the Nintendo 64’s 3D battles.
The Japanese release followed a smaller Japan-only game called Pocket Monsters Stadium. The Western Pokémon Stadium expanded the concept and was released in Japan in 1999 before arriving in North America and Europe in 2000.
