Which console hosted Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, the first main-series Pokémon games released for a home console?

The story behind the answer

The Nintendo Switch hosted Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, the first main-series Pokémon games released for a home console.

Released worldwide on November 16, 2018, the pair reimagined the 1998 Game Boy title Pokémon Yellow. They retained the Kanto setting and the original Pokémon roster while adding features inspired by Pokémon Go, including a simplified catching system for wild Pokémon.

The games were designed to welcome new players and reconnect longtime fans with the first generation. Pikachu and Eevee served as the two version mascots, and each game gave its partner Pokémon a prominent role. The titles also supported optional motion controls through Joy-Con controllers or the Poké Ball Plus accessory.

Although the Nintendo Switch is a hybrid system that can be used as a handheld, Let's Go was a significant platform transition for the core series. Earlier main-series games had appeared on Nintendo handhelds such as the Game Boy, Nintendo DS, and Nintendo 3DS.
