Saudi Aramco’s 2019 IPO valued the company at about $1.7 trillion, making it the world’s most valuable listed company at the time.
Saudi Aramco sold shares on the Saudi Stock Exchange, known as Tadawul, in December 2019. The offering raised roughly $25.6 billion, making it the largest initial public offering then recorded. A later additional share sale increased the total raised by the company’s offerings.
Saudi Aramco is the national oil company of Saudi Arabia and is one of the world’s largest petroleum producers. Its valuation reflected enormous hydrocarbon reserves, extensive production capacity, refining operations, and a strategically important role in global energy markets.
The company is often compared with Apple, Microsoft, and other technology giants because its market capitalization has ranked among the world’s highest. Market value can fluctuate with oil prices, production expectations, investor sentiment, and changes in the number of publicly traded shares.
