Which company was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak?

The story behind the answer

Which company was founded by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak? Apple Inc. was the company they founded together in 1976.

The partnership began with the Apple I, a personal computer designed largely by Wozniak and promoted commercially by Jobs. Apple Computer Company was established on April 1, 1976, in Los Altos, California. Ronald Wayne also briefly participated as a third co-founder, but he left soon afterward, making Jobs and Wozniak the two figures most commonly associated with Apple’s founding.

Apple was incorporated as Apple Computer, Inc. on January 3, 1977. Its early success came from the Apple II, one of the first widely successful mass-produced personal computers. The Macintosh followed in 1984, helping popularize graphical user interfaces and mouse-driven computing.

A common mix-up is Atari: Jobs had worked there, and Apple’s early history involved Atari connections, but Atari did not become the company founded by the two Steves. Apple adopted its current name in 2007 as its business expanded beyond computers.
