Which company uses the Trefoil as one of its best-known logos?

The story behind the answer

Adidas uses the Trefoil as one of its best-known logos.

The Trefoil was introduced in 1971 and became associated with Adidas products from the 1970s onward. Its three leaf-like sections are commonly linked with the Adidas name and the brand’s global reach, although the company has used several logo designs over time.

Adidas later introduced the three-bar “Mountain” logo in 1991 for performance products. The Trefoil remains strongly associated with Adidas Originals, the brand’s lifestyle and heritage range, rather than replacing the company’s other marks entirely.

A common mix-up is to treat the Trefoil as Adidas’s only logo. In fact, the three bars appear in multiple Adidas designs, while the Trefoil is especially prominent on classic and retro clothing, footwear, and accessories.
