Which company uses a blue-and-white three-pointed star inside a circle?

The story behind the answer

Mercedes-Benz uses a blue-and-white three-pointed star inside a circle.

The Mercedes-Benz emblem is the three-pointed star, commonly shown within a ring. The star originated with Daimler branding and came to symbolize the company’s ambition to build engines for land, water, and air. Mercedes-Benz was formed in 1926 through the merger of Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft and Benz & Cie.

The blue-and-white treatment is associated with many modern versions of the emblem, although the badge has also appeared in silver, black, and other finishes on vehicles and marketing materials. The ring-and-star combination is the key identifying structure.

The symbol is often confused with BMW’s roundel because both are circular German automotive badges. BMW’s mark uses blue-and-white quartered segments and the letters BMW; Mercedes-Benz uses a single three-pointed star.
