Which company ranked first in Forbes’ 2023 list of the world’s best employers?

Samsung Electronics ranked first in Forbes’ 2023 list of the world’s best employers.

Forbes produced the ranking with Statista using survey responses from employees and workers familiar with companies. Respondents assessed employers on factors such as salary, workplace conditions, development opportunities and willingness to recommend the company.

Samsung Electronics is a South Korean multinational known for semiconductors, smartphones, televisions and home appliances. Its position on the employer list is not a billionaire ranking and does not mean Samsung had the world’s highest market value or revenue.

That distinction is important because Forbes publishes many rankings with similar-sounding superlatives. Company rankings may measure brand value, corporate performance, employer reputation or overall business scale, and each uses different criteria.
