Which company developed the Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap?
Answer
HAL Laboratory
Answer
HAL Laboratory
HAL Laboratory developed the Nintendo 64 game Pokémon Snap.
Released in Japan in March 1999, Pokémon Snap is a photography-focused Pokémon spin-off rather than a traditional role-playing game. Players control Todd Snap, who rides through Pokémon Island and photographs Pokémon for Professor Oak to evaluate.
The game was developed by HAL Laboratory with assistance from Pax Softnica and published by Nintendo. Its unusual concept originated as a non-Pokémon project called Jack and the Beanstalk before development shifted toward photographing Pokémon.
Pokémon Snap is often confused with Pokémon Stadium because both were early Nintendo 64 Pokémon titles. Stadium focused on 3D battles, while Snap used a first-person camera and a fixed rail route. The original game featured 63 of the first-generation Pokémon in real-time 3D.
