Kabam developed the mobile action RPG Star Wars: Uprising. The game was released for iOS and Android on September 10, 2015, and Disney Interactive Studios published it.
Uprising is set shortly after Return of the Jedi, in the Anoat sector. Imperial Governor Adelhard has sealed the region, creating a power vacuum that lets players work with crews, fight enemies and shape a character through classes such as Smuggler, Bounty Hunter and Diplomat.
Kabam was the developer, not the publisher—a distinction that often causes confusion in video-game credits. Disney Interactive Studios handled publishing, while Kabam supplied the game’s design and development. The title also supported multiplayer for groups of up to four players.
The game’s servers eventually closed. Kabam and Disney announced the shutdown in September 2016, and Star Wars: Uprising went offline on November 17, 2016. That makes it a notable example of a Star Wars game that can no longer be played through its original live service.
