Real Madrid held the record for the most UEFA Super Cup victories after the 2026 edition.
Real Madrid had won the competition six times, more than any other club. Its victories came in 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2022 and 2024, giving it a clear lead in the historical standings.
The 2026 final did not change that record. Paris Saint-Germain defeated Aston Villa 2–1 to claim its second Super Cup, while Real Madrid remained the leading champion.
Real Madrid also belongs to the smaller group of clubs that have won consecutive editions. It retained the trophy in 2016 and 2017, joining Milan and Paris Saint-Germain in that achievement. The record for total victories and the record for consecutive wins are related but different statistical categories.
