Yokohama hosted the 2023 Pokémon World Championships.

The event took place at Pacifico Yokohama from August 11 to August 13, 2023. It was the 18th edition of the Pokémon World Championships and marked the first time the event was held in Japan or anywhere in Asia.

The championships combined competitions from several Pokémon games, including Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Pokémon Trading Card Game, Pokémon Go, and Pokémon Unite.
