Which city had the most billionaires in Forbes’ 2024 billionaire ranking?

New York City had the most billionaires in Forbes’ 2024 billionaire ranking. Forbes counted 110 billionaires living in the city, more than in any other city worldwide.

New York’s position reflects its concentration of finance, media, technology, retail and real-estate wealth. The city has long been a major base for founders, investors and heirs whose fortunes appear in Forbes’ global billionaire research.

City totals are not the same as country totals. Forbes assigns individuals to locations using residence information, and a billionaire may own companies or assets in many places. Moscow, Mumbai and Beijing were also major billionaire hubs, but none had as many residents on the 2024 city ranking as New York City.
