Which circuit is known as the 'Home of the Dutch TT'?

The story behind the answer

The TT Circuit Assen is known as the “Home of the Dutch TT.” It is located in Assen, in the Dutch province of Drenthe, and has hosted the Netherlands’ premier motorcycle race for nearly a century.

The first Dutch TT was held in 1925 on public roads. From 1926 onward, the event was staged around Assen, initially on a long road circuit. A permanent circuit opened in 1955, creating the foundation of the modern venue. The Dutch TT became part of the FIM motorcycle world championship in 1949, the championship’s inaugural season.

Assen is also widely nicknamed the “Cathedral of Speed.” Fans sometimes confuse the Dutch TT with the circuit itself: the Dutch TT is the race, while TT Circuit Assen is the venue. Brno, Mugello and Sachsenring are famous motorcycle circuits, but they are associated with races in the Czech Republic, Italy and Germany rather than the Dutch TT.
