Which chart did Taylor Swift’s “august” enter at number 23 in August 2020?

Taylor Swift’s “august” entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 23 in August 2020.

The debut appeared on the chart dated August 8, 2020, shortly after Folklore’s surprise release. The song remained on the Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks.

Its chart performance was part of an unusually large album launch: all 16 tracks from Folklore entered the U.S. Hot 100 at the same time. “Cardigan” led the album’s chart results by debuting at number one.

The number 23 applies specifically to the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 debut. It should not be confused with “august” reaching number 46 on the Billboard Global 200 or number five on the Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart.
