Cammy’s special moves include the “Cannon Spike,” a rising anti-air kick that launches her upward against opponents. It is one of her defining techniques in Street Fighter.
Cammy debuted in Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers in 1993 as a fast, close-range fighter. Her move set emphasizes rapid movement and spinning kicks: the Cannon Spike attacks upward, the Spiral Arrow travels low across the ground, and the Hooligan Combination lets her approach from the air.
The name can be confusing because Cannon Spike is also the title of a 2000 Capcom arcade shoot-’em-up in which Cammy appears as a playable character. In the fighting games, however, Cannon Spike refers specifically to Cammy’s signature upward kick. Chun-Li, Balrog, and Vega have their own recognizable special attacks, but Cannon Spike is associated with Cammy.
