Bowser is the playable hero who can breathe fire in Super Paper Mario.
Super Paper Mario lets the player switch among Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Bowser. Each character has a distinctive ability: Mario can flip between 2D and 3D perspectives, Luigi can jump especially high, Peach can hover, and Bowser can breathe fire.
Bowser’s fire breath is useful for defeating enemies and dealing heavy damage, making him the game’s strongest offensive character. Count Bleck is a major villain, not a playable hero. Princess Peach is playable, but her defining ability is hovering rather than fire breathing. The game is unusual within the series because these familiar Mario characters form the playable party, while combat occurs directly in the overworld instead of in traditional turn-based battle screens.
