Dragon Bridge is a 2013 bridge in Da Nang, Vietnam, featuring a giant dragon-shaped steel structure over the Han River.
The bridge carries six lanes of traffic and links Da Nang’s city center with the eastern side of the river, including routes toward the airport and coastal areas. Its dragon form reflects Vietnamese cultural symbolism, where dragons are associated with power, prosperity, and national identity.
The steel dragon is more than decoration: it forms the bridge’s central visual spine. The structure is illuminated at night, and scheduled weekend performances make the dragon breathe fire and spray water, turning the crossing into a major tourist attraction.
It is often confused with Da Nang’s Golden Bridge, which is an elevated pedestrian bridge supported by giant stone-colored hands in the nearby hills. Golden Bridge does not cross the Han River.
