Which breakfast cereal did W.K. Kellogg introduce in 1906?

The story behind the answer

W.K. Kellogg introduced Corn flakes as a breakfast cereal in 1906.

The cereal grew from experiments at the Battle Creek Sanitarium in Michigan, where John Harvey Kellogg and his brother Will Keith Kellogg developed methods for flaking grains. The brothers discovered that cooking and rolling wheat or corn could produce a crisp, light food.

Will Keith Kellogg founded the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company in 1906. The business later became the Kellogg Company, and Corn flakes became one of its defining products. The familiar version is made primarily from milled corn, sugar, malt flavoring, and salt.

Corn flakes are sometimes confused with Bran Flakes or Rice Krispies, but those are different cereals. Corn flakes also predate many heavily sweetened children's cereals and helped establish packaged cereal as a convenient household breakfast.
