Which brand introduced the first commercially successful frozen orange-juice concentrate in 1946?

The story behind the answer

Minute Maid introduced the first commercially successful frozen orange-juice concentrate in 1946.

The product was developed after wartime research into preserving citrus juice. The National Research Corporation worked with the Florida Foods Corporation to create a concentrated juice that could be frozen and later reconstituted with water.

The resulting product was marketed under the Minute Maid name. Frozen concentrate was easier to transport and store than ready-to-drink juice, helping orange juice become a common breakfast beverage across the United States.

The Coca-Cola Company acquired the Florida Foods Corporation in 1960 and expanded Minute Maid internationally. Minute Maid is often confused with Tropicana, another major orange-juice brand, but Tropicana was founded separately in Florida in 1947.
