Which billionaire co-founded Google with Larry Page?

The story behind the answer

Which billionaire co-founded Google with Larry Page? Sergey Brin is the answer.

Brin met Page at Stanford University in the mid-1990s, where the two computer-science graduate students began developing a search engine initially called BackRub. Their key innovation was PageRank, which judged a page partly by the quality and number of links pointing to it.

The project became Google, incorporated in 1998 after an early investment from Sun Microsystems co-founder Andy Bechtolsheim. Brin and Page built the company together, with Brin serving as president during Google’s early years while Page focused heavily on engineering and product development.

A common mix-up is confusing Google’s founders with later executives. Eric Schmidt was Google’s CEO from 2001 to 2011, and Sundar Pichai became CEO of Google in 2015, but neither co-founded the company. Brin and Page later co-founded Alphabet, Google’s parent company, in 2015.
