Which baseball park has the "Green Monster"?

The story behind the answer

Fenway Park is the baseball park famous for its “Green Monster.”

The Green Monster is Fenway’s towering left-field wall and home of the Boston Red Sox. It stands about 37 feet high and is unusually close to home plate along the left-field line, where the listed distance is 310 feet. That unusual shape makes Fenway one of baseball’s most distinctive stadiums.

The wall was part of Fenway Park’s original 1912 construction. In 1934, it was covered with tin and concrete and incorporated a manually operated scoreboard. The wall was not actually painted green until 1947; before then, advertisements covered much of its surface. The nickname became widely established later.

The Green Monster changes how the game plays. It blocks some long, low line drives that would be home runs elsewhere, often turning them into doubles. At the same time, its shallow distance can allow high fly balls to clear the wall. Seating was added on top of the wall in 2003, creating the famous “Monster seats.”
