Which band's song 'Through the Fire and Flames' appears in Guitar Hero III?

DragonForce’s song “Through the Fire and Flames” appears in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock.

The track is a song by the British power metal band DragonForce and appears as an unlockable bonus song in Guitar Hero III. Players unlock it after completing the solo career, and it plays during the game’s credits sequence. Its extreme speed, long duration, rapid solos, and demanding note patterns quickly made it one of the most notorious songs in rhythm-game history.

“Through the Fire and Flames” originally appeared on DragonForce’s 2005 album Inhuman Rampage and was released as a single in 2006. Guitar Hero III helped introduce the band to a much broader audience, especially players who encountered the song as a daunting final challenge after finishing the main campaign.

The song is sometimes confused with other metal tracks in the game, including “Take This Life” by In Flames and “The Way It Ends” by Prototype. DragonForce’s track is distinctive because it is a bonus song rather than a regular career-stage song, and it became closely associated with high-level play, expert difficulty, and rhythm-game challenge videos.
